Damascus, June 27 (Xinhua-ANI): Three Syrian journalists were killed Wednesday when armed groups attacked the headquarters of the pro-government al-Ekhbaria TV in a suburban area of the Syrian capital of Damascus.
Armed groups fired RPG shells on the headquarters of al-Ekhbaria TV at Khan Sheih area before booby-trapping the entire building and blowing it up, Syria' s state TV quoted the minister of information, Emran al-Zoubi, as saying.
The minister said that after the attack, which took place at 4 a.m. local time, the assailants massacred three journalists after tying them up.
He said most of the technical equipments were either sabotaged or stolen.
Meanwhile, the state TV aired live footage of the blast site showing the entire building reduced to rubbles. However, the channel broadcast continued. (Xinhua-ANI)
