Dubai, June 29 (ANI): A groom divorced his bride via phone, just three days after their marriage, in Ras Al Khaimah.

A case has been filed in the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Court, a Judiciary official said on Thursday.

According to the official, the 20-year-old bride has filed a case against her ex-husband following the surprise divorce demanding Dh30, 000 marriage dowry and alimony.

The Emirati bride told the judge that she was informed about the divorce on phone and was not provided with any explanation for the same.

She told the judge that her ex-husband left her alone at night and spent his fist night at his relatives' house in another emirate, Gulf News quoted the official as saying.

The next day, her ex-husband divorced her via phone without telling her the reason. He told her only that he does not want to be unfair to her, the official said.he court decided to hear the case in two parts in September, the official said. (ANI)
