London, June 29 (ANI): British police has carpeted two teenagers, aged 13 and 15, over racist tweets during England's Euro exit in the quarterfinal, but the abuse wasn't related to the vile rants against Ashley Cole and Ashley Young who missed the penalties during their defeat.

The Scotland Yard is investigating a series of racist trolls that targeted the Three Lions stars after Sunday's shoot-out defeat.

Gloucestershire cops, who probed the 13-year-old from Gloucester and the Tewkesbury 15-year-old, would not reveal the contents of their tweets.

We will not tolerate racism. We'd remind fans of the Kick It Out campaign and urge them to help make the game as inclusive as possible, The Sun quoted Supt Gary Thompson, as saying.

Both teenagers admitted posting the tweets and expressed remorse. The 15-year-old will get a formal warning because he has been arrested before, although the previous offences were not racism related. (ANI)
