Karachi, July 13 (ANI): A court hearing regarding the Bangladesh team's proposed tour of Pakistan has been postponed due to a change in the Dhaka court bench.

According to a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official, a decision on the team's tour to Pakistan has now been postponed indefinitely, reports The Express Tribune.

There was a change in the bench which was hearing the case. The case could not be discussed as a new judge will now examine it. The hearing has been extended and we are yet to know the new schedule. Hopefully we will get it in a couple of days, BCB spokesperson Rabeed Imam said.

The BCB had confirmed a tour comprising two matches in April but the plan had to be called off after a ruling by the Dhaka High Court, following a petition by two locals citing security apprehensions about Pakistan. The petition was granted and a four-week stay was extended until the hearing on July 12.

BCB Chairman Mustafa Kamal last month renewed hopes of the tour during a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf on the sidelines of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) annual conference, expressing interest in sending the team. (ANI)
