New Delhi, Aug 11 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday raised the issue of migration of Hindus from Pakistan and urged the Central Government to look into the matter.

This is a matter of concern. Government of India should take up this matter with Pakistan and ensure the safety and protection of the Hindus living in Pakistan. And at the same time they have to ascertain whether the families who have come in India they want an asylum or they want protection, BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

The facts should be known to all of us and at the same time the government of India should ensure and work hard to see that the life and property of the Hindus in Pakistan are protected and they are afe, he added.

Ten Hindu families from Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar in Pakistan reached Attari railway station at Wagah border on Thursday.

These families decided to migrate to India by contending there were instances of forced conversions and relevant violence on Hindus making them feel insecure in Pakistan.

The migrant families are hoping the Indian government would give them permanent visas. (ANI)
