New York, August 11 (ANI): NBC is now facing fresh criticism after releasing a video, part of its 'Bodies in Motion' series, that includes a slowed-down montage of female athletes set to what is being described as 'soft core porn' music.
All the athletes in the video compete in sports that require little clothing, and the camera angles chosen for the video seems especially fond of the ladies' midriffs, decolletage and, of course, posteriors.
There is also a lot of non-motion shots, capturing athletes' bouncing ponytails or teammates hugs after a big play, the New York Daily News reported.
The video gives absolutely no context for the event or athlete and many sports are not represented, including judo.
According to Jezebel, the alleged objectification of the women indicates that NBC is too busy focusing on jiggling ladies' asses to notice ladies kicking ass.
NBC did not make the video embeddable and a spokesperson said it was part of a wider series of videos featuring various athletes and sports. (ANI)
