Cape Town, Aug. 14 (ANI): The trial of a man accused of murdering Indian-origin Anni Dewani during her honeymoon in South Africa will begin today.

Speaking in Cape Town, Judge Robert Henney said he would accept no further delays in the trial of Xolile Mngeni, 25, even though he is suffering from a brain tumour.

According to the Daily Express, Dewani, 28, was shot dead in an apparent car hijacking in Cape Town in November 2010.

Mngeni faces charges of kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances, murder, and the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Mziwamadoda Qwabe, who admitted the same charges last week, accused him of pulling the trigger.

Shrien Dewani, 32, who is the husband of Anni, is accused of arranging his wife's murder, which he has denied. (ANI)
