Sydney, Aug. 15 (ANI): The Australian police has arrested a man for allegedly murdering an Asian-Muslim woman in her multi-million mansion in Sydney earlier this year.

The woman, Shahnaz Qidwai, was living with her husband, Khalid Qidwai, who runs a successful day surgery in Croydon.

Dr Qidwai and his wife were highly respected members of the Indian-Pakistani community after migrating to Australia four decades ago.

The badly bashed body of Shahnaz, 65, was found in their mansion on June 15.

Dr. Khalid Qidwai broke down in tears while speaking about the arrest who allegedly murdered his 'much-loved' wife. She's never going to come back. This will never bring her back, Sydney Morning Herald quoted Qidwai, as saying.

A relative, who visited their house, made the gruesome discovery less than four hours after she was allegedly murdered.

The arrested man is being questioned by the police where he is expected to be charged with murder.

It is understood that the man is not related to the family.

Dr Qidwai said his family were kept up to date on the police investigation and were informed of who the main suspect was.

I have lost everything to me, he said as he broke down in tears. (ANI)
