London, Aug 21 (ANI): Tech giant Apple has become has become the most valuable company in the world, ever, with a value of approximately 623 billion dollars.

Shares in Apple rose past 660 dollars in early trading today taking its stock to a new height and its market capitalisation to over 619 billion dollars.

Apple is now worth around 200 billion dollars more than the world's second biggest company, Exxon Mobil, which is worth a mere 405 billion dollars, the Telegraph reports.

According to Howard Silverblatt, an S and P index analyst in America, the record for the most valuable company had been held by Microsoft whose market capitalisation hit 616.3 billion Euros at the height of the bubble in December 1999.

Now Apple's iPhone revenues generate more than Microsoft itself, according to analysts.

According to the report, Apple is worth more than Microsoft combined with Google. (ANI)
